The Cat Mate C200 is designed to feed one or two cats, kittens or small dogs when you are away – during the day, evening or over the weekend. Food is kept fresh in two easy-clean compartments sealed by closely fitting lids, and cooled by a built-in ice pack. Just set the timer on each lid to open at the required time, up to 48 hours later.

Especially for cats

We suggest you introduce your cat to its feeder by following the steps below:

Place your cat’s food in the food bowl without using the timer. (Try using his favorite food to encourage him to get
used to the feeder.)
When he seems happy eating in this way, place the unit in the position where he will find the food when you are away.
Finally use the timing mechanism, but try not to watch over your cat – if he knows you’re around he may wait for
personal attention! If leaving your cat for a weekend, don’t
forget to make suitable toilet arrangements for it. Kittens should not be left alone for long periods without someone to check periodically that all is well.

Especially for dogs

Most small dogs will readily adapt to an automatic feeder, but you are recommended to supervise your dog’s first few encounters to ensure that it is unlikely to damage the unit – which may be a problem with puppies. When leaving your dog, don’t forget to make adequate toilet arrangements for
it. Dogs, and particularly puppies, should not be left alone for long periods without someone to check periodically
that all is well. For extra stability the feeder may be
attached to a wooden base plate as follows:

Remove food bowl(s). Break out the two molded-in retaining clips by inserting a screw into each hole and rocking from side to side.
Place feeder in desired position on wooden board and replace clips in holes with the flat side of the clip uppermost. Screw clips to board in this position.
c. Turn clip through 90 degrees to lock feeder to wooden base. Turn back through 90 degrees to unlock.

Cleaning

The C10 and C200 feeders are very easy to clean and normally only the bowls will require washing. The base
unit, lids and lid lifting leavers can all be wiped with a soapy cloth. If required, lids may be removed for washing – simply pull out vertically from the base unit whilst pushing the lid
upward using the finger cut-out at the rear of the lid molding. Make sure that the lids are fully pushed home on
reassembly. Under no circumstances should the base unit be immersed in water.
